Adding a New, Unique Piece to our California Mosaic
Mosaic Hotel Group is excited to welcome Olema House (formerly The Lodge at Point Reyes) to our family of boutique hotels. Located just an hour north of San Francisco, Olema House is ideally situated at the foothills of Point Reyes National Seashore, in the quaint town of Olema. Surrounded by national forest parkland and pristine coastal wilderness, the hotel is the perfect launching point for outdoor adventure, offering unrivaled access to the very best of Point Reyes, Tomales Bay, Marin County and the North Coast.
Hiking, biking, kayaking, and bird watching are just a few of the activities you’ll find within easy reach at Olema House. And if staying closer in is more your style, you’ll also enjoy strolling through the hotel’s four private acres of lush grounds, expansive lawns, and tranquil gardens set along the banks of Olema Creek.
Each of the 24 rooms at Olema House boasts picturesque views of the natural surroundings including the babbling Olema Creek, private gardens, Inverness Ridge, and Mt. Wittenberg. The clean, modern décor in each guest room is inspired by the hotel’s unique sense of place. Design elements, including driftwood, oyster shells, and photographic art of Northern California coast, all reflect the dramatic beauty of its destination. Radiant, heat-warmed floors and Beekman bath products provide guests with a sense of elegance and cozy refinement.
Next door to the hotel is the newly reimagined Due West restaurant, a cornerstone of culinary excellence within the local community. A sophisticated roadside tavern, Due West presents inventive local cuisine led by Chef Justin Bruckert, who brings with him years of experience working the region’s finest ingredients. A wealth of small, artisan purveyors including Skyhill Farms, Heidrun Meadery, Marin Sun Farms, Bolinas Farms and Tomales Bay Oysters inspire the seasonal, farm-to-table, harvest menu. Craft cocktails and specialty beers, as well as an impressive list of local wines, complement the dining experience that is unique to this part of the country.
Debuting late spring, the restaurant will also debut Due West Market, an updated take on the classic country store. Conveniently located adjacent to the restaurant, the market will offer a curated selection of artisanal goods and gourmet, on-the-go provisions sourced from featured local artisans including Cowgirl Creamery, Silk Road Tea and Marin County-based Equator Coffee.
Whether seeking a serene retreat, or an adventurous excursion, Olema House invites guests to become immersed in its beautiful natural environment and claim the Point Reyes territory as their own backyard. Rates at this countryside retreat begin at $225.
